The main purpose of the Farm is:
1. To do experiments on agriculture;
2. To provide training course in agricultural technique to extension workers and farmers;
3. To be a demonstration farm;
4. To improve rice production chain in Cambodia;
5. To collect gene of plants and animals in Cambodia;
6. To improve quality and yield of up land crop in Cambodia; and
7. Integrated approaches to improve the quality and yield of Cambodian vegetables.
Fish Breeding Laboratory
The aim of the Laboratory is: 1. To conduct research on basic fish breeding techniques;
2. To provide fish breeding technique to the UBB’s students and farmers; and
3. To find the fastest growing and best quality fish suitable to culture in Cambodia through breeding.
Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory
The Laboratory was established in the purpose:
1. To collect and maintain of ornamental plants suitable for propagation in Cambodia;
2. To conduct research on basic plant tissue culture techniques of ornamental plants, fruit trees, and industrial plants;
3. To provide plant tissue culture techniques to the students of UBB; and
4. To produce disease free plantlets through meristemculture technique to solve the farm’s problems.
