WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Poverty is a complex global problem and the commitment to eradicating poverty is
extremely important. Much has been done around the globe but poverty con??nues to be an important destructive element to the socio-economic structures of the communities. The issue is how good and how effective been implemented. Besides NGOs, private sectors, government agencies, universities and institutions of higher learning also play significant roles in programs related to poverty eradication. Universities have the capacity and the expertise that are needed to solve problems related to poverty.
RENPER is one of the initiatives for internationalization of the participation of universities and its establishment is timely considering that poverty is one of the primary concerns in all societies throughout the world, particularly within our region. RENPER hopes to act as a strong coalition of universi??es which will realize the importance of academics in complementing the roles of government and non-government agencies in combating poverty. The first RENPER was held in Universities Malaysia Kelantan, Malaysia on 26-28 October 2010 and University of Battambang,
Cambodia has been chosen to be the host for 2nd RENPER.
